Kea Poem

Kea Poem:

Even though theylook fat and absurd,
They are still my favourite New Zealand bird.

The first time I saw one was in Te Anau,
I shouted WOW...
look at this now!

Dad stopped the car,
And we looked out far.

To see what looked like a fat carrot,
But indeed was the chubby Kiwi parrot.

We headed onto Fiordland,
Singing our fvourite band.

But then just guess what was creating a scene.
YES,
A Kea on our windscreen.

Know wonder those parots are full of bluber,
Cause that one ate every piece of rubber.

Dad got out and began to shout,
"listen ere ya blinking kea"

And of it hopped,
As I began to cheer...
Euuuurrrrrrrrp!

New Years Poem

There is the one time of year that i always dread,
The night my mum drinks too much, it goes right to her head.

The night in question is December 31st
The night she always has such a thirst.

She starts on the cider, then the wine
And tells everyone she is doing fine

I always know when she's had enough
As she dances with my nana and looks really rough.

She then sings some songs with neighbour Steve
Bless her...... she really does love New years eve

As we approach midnight
she gets louder and louder and looks such a sight

As the clock strikes twelve she sings and claps
But then the worst part is she begins to rap....

She rings all her family in the UK
and tells them all this year will be OK

It won't be like the last
This year will be a BLAST

As we then head to bed

She grins and tells me...."it must have been the red".....
